The Story of Crystal Pacific
Fueled by a dedication to innovation coupled with a passion for U.S. manufacturing, Thomas Chen first opened the doors of Crystal in 1990. Over the course of three decades, what began as a modest operation in Flushing, Queens, steadily expanded across the country.
In May of 2012, Thomas established Crystal Pacific, a state-of-the-art 116,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Riverside, CA. As a vital western branch, we deliver award-winning window and door systems to the West Coast and beyond—honoring the same commitment to quality, innovation, and service that has always defined the Crystal name.
Today, Crystal employs roughly 800 staff members across five plants and distributes products in more than 40 states. Additional Crystal Window & Door Systems plants are located in Scranton, PA, Chicago, IL, and Union, MO.

Crystal Pacific proudly manufactures NAMI and NFRC-certified windows and doors that qualify for California’s energy code, Title 24. Work with one of our consultative marketing professionals to select the right high-performance, energy-efficient Energy Star® Certified products for your project.

Giving back
As a family-run business, we know a thing or two about the value of community. That’s why at Crystal, we believe it’s important to give back to arts, culture, and education organizations in our neighborhood. Here are a few ways we do this.
Queensborough Community College Scholarship Fund
In 2003, Crystal established a $250,000 scholarship fund at Queensborough Community College that enables immigrant students to participate in the college’s Port of Entry (PoE) English language program.
Thomas Chen Family/Crystal Windows Queen’s College Endowment
In 2021, Crystal announced a $1.1 million endowment to support Asian contemporary art at Queen’s College through exhibitions, student scholarships, and a visiting artist program.
Crystal Foundation & Crystal Art Gallery
The Crystal Foundation is a non-profit organization created to foster education and advancement of Asian art and culture in America. A component of the Foundation, The Crystal Art Gallery is located in Flushing at the Crystal company headquarters.
