Residential Transferable Limited Lifetime Warranty For Vinyl Products
Crystal Window & Door Systems, Ltd. (“Crystal”) stands behind the quality and craftsmanship of our vinyl window and door products. Our warranty is designed to assure the original purchaser (“Purchaser”) that our products are free from defects in material and quality under normal usage conditions.
- Insulated Glass Warranty: Crystal ensures that all factory-installed insulated glass units (I.G.U.) remain free from material obstruction of vision due to hermetic seal failures for a period of 20 years. Additionally, for the first year, stress cracks in factory-installed insulated glass are covered.
- Vinyl Structure Warranty: Our extruded vinyl window and door sashes and frames are guaranteed against cracking, peeling, flaking, blistering, rooting, or corrosion throughout the duration of the Purchaser’s ownership of the property.
- Mechanical Parts Warranty: All Crystal locks, keepers, pivots, tilt latches, shoes, balances, hinges, crank handles, and other mechanical parts are warranted against manufacturing defects for the duration of the original purchaser’s ownership of the property.
- Applied Paint Finishes Warranty: Painted two-tone vinyl window and door finishes are warranted against peeling or blistering from/on the applied surface and significant ultraviolet discoloration for 5 years from the date of purchase. From the second to fifth year, ‘touch-up’ paint is provided for claims regarding two-tone vinyl window and door finishes.
- Commencement: The warranty begins on the date indicated upon the original purchaser’s proof of purchase.
- Coverage: Applies exclusively to Crystal Products that are factory installed in the original purchaser’s residence. The warranty may be transferred to a subsequent homeowner upon compliance with the set transfer procedures.
- Making a claim: Warranty claims must be made within 30 days following the discovery of the defect or other basis of a claim covered by this warranty. To file a claim, visit the Crystal Pacific website at warranty service request. All claims must include specified information and may be subject to field inspection. Refer to the complete warranty document for more information on making a claim.
- Resolution: If a warranted Product does not conform to the specified warranties, Crystal will repair, replace, or refund a prorated portion of the original purchase price. Shipping and delivery charges may apply at Crystal’s sole discretion.
Crystal’s warranty does not cover damages caused by certain events or conditions, including accidents, improper installation, misuse, and exposure to harsh chemicals. For a detailed list of exclusions, refer to the complete warranty document.
The original purchaser may transfer the warranty to a subsequent homeowner of the property within 30 days after the sale of the property, subject to a transfer fee. Transfer certificates are available on the Crystal website at cpwds.com/warranty.
Crystal’s limited warranty does not cover defects caused by:
- Acts of nature
- Improper installation or maintenance
- Vandalism or misuse
- Glass breakage or scratches as defined in ASTM standard specifications for flat glass C1036-85
- Normal wear and tear of hardware
- Screen breakage
- Exposure to harsh chemicals or excessive sunlight
- Installation and use of Products outside usage parameters
- Damage caused by objects or airborne pollutants (such as acid rain or salt) to hardware
- Fading or color changes due to normal aging, weathering, or excessive sun exposure
- Inappropriate or untimely test measures

The preceding warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied. Crystal’s liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the original purchase price.
This warranty is effective for all products manufactured and/or delivered by Crystal on or after May 8, 2019.
